On March 31st, Shravani found Akshaya unconscious with a bleeding nose. Despite rushing her to the Karempudi government hospital, the doctors could not save the little girl. Mahesh, in a bid to cover up his crime, coerced Shravani into lying to their relatives about the cause of Akshaya’s death. The baby was hastily buried without a proper investigation.

However, Shravani’s mother grew suspicious of the circumstances surrounding Akshaya’s death and sought the intervention of the local panchayat.
