In a devastating turn of events, a fourth victim has tragically lost their life following an Easter crash on U.S. 23, as confirmed by the Michigan State police on Friday. The latest fatality has been identified as a 22-year-old male, bringing the total death toll to four individuals. Initially, three individuals, including two teenagers, were reported dead at the scene after the early Easter morning crash in Livingston County. The latest victim and another person were being treated for injuries, with all five occupants of the vehicle being related, according to a release from the Michigan State Police.

State police responded to the single-vehicle crash on U.S. 23 near Faussett Road, north of Brighton, at approximately 8:25 a.m. on March 31. Tragically, three passengers in the vehicle, a 44-year-old woman, an 18-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl, were all pronounced dead upon police arrival, as stated in a news release from the Michigan State Police.

The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old man, was transported to the University of Michigan Health hospital in Ann Arbor and is currently in stable condition. However, no further updates on his condition have been provided by the Michigan State Police. Another passenger from the vehicle was also taken to U-M in critical condition.

The vehicle was travelling southbound on U.S. 23 before veering off the road and rolling over, with no other vehicles involved in the crash, as confirmed by the police. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, Livingston County EMS, and the Hartland Area Fire Department all provided assistance to the state police in responding to the incident.
