Four Suspects Arrested for Multiple Storage Business Burglaries in San Jose

Last week, San Jose police announced the arrest of four individuals suspected of carrying out a series of burglaries at storage businesses in the area. The investigation began after an attempted burglary at a storage unit business on Lincoln Ave. in the West San Carlos neighborhood. The suspects forced their way into two storage units but fled without taking any items.

Connection to Previous Burglaries

Further investigation revealed that the same individuals were connected to two other storage facility burglaries that took place in January and February. In total, nearly $400,000 worth of property was stolen in these incidents. The suspects were identified as Ricky Lartigue, 43; Frank Torres, 44; Monique Lartigue, 45; and Andrew Fernandez, 19.

Arrest and Search Warrants

Detectives obtained arrest and search warrants for the suspects’ homes in San Jose and Milpitas. On March 27, officers executed the warrants and arrested all four individuals in Milpitas. During the search, officers recovered stolen property valued at over $60,000, including guitars, musical equipment, a loaded semi-automatic pistol, a high-capacity magazine, 2,000 rounds of ammunition, and illegal narcotics.

Charges and Booking

The suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of burglary, conspiracy, grand theft, vandalism, and possession of stolen property. The police urged anyone who had their storage unit burglarized or had information about the cases to contact Detective Roberson of the San José Police Department Financial Crimes Burglary Unit.
