In a recent court case in York City, jurors were presented with physical evidence in the trial of Jamar Generette Jr., a 25-year-old man accused of shooting and killing another man during a fight three years ago. The prosecution has charged Generette with first-degree murder and carrying a gun without a license.

**The Incident**
The incident took place on the evening of June 6, 2021, at the intersection of Salem and South Belvidere avenues in York City. Witnesses described seeing Generette approach 34-year-old Keith Wallace, who was with a group of people near a car. Security camera footage allegedly captured Generette pistol-whipping Wallace before shooting him twice.

During the trial, witnesses identified Generette at or near the scene of the crime and positively identified him in a police lineup. They also pointed to him in the video evidence. One witness reported seeing Wallace attempting to climb into a vehicle before falling to the ground.

While Generette’s DNA was not found on Wallace’s fingernails, it was a likely contributor to the DNA sample swabbed from the plastic baggie.

Ballistic testing of the shell casings revealed that both bullets were fired from the same gun. This evidence further implicates Generette in the shooting death of Keith Wallace.
