A Maryland man, Anthony Lamont Hagens, 42, has been arrested on charges of stalking, fourth-degree sex offense, and other related offenses in Charles County. The arrest came after detectives began investigating Hagens for allegedly harassing two 15-year-old girls in mid-February.

Investigation and Arrest
The investigation into Hagens started when the Charles County Sheriff’s Office received a report from two teenage girls who claimed Hagens approached them near St. Ignatius Drive. He allegedly asked the girls if they wanted to smoke and told them to get into his car. The girls refused and ran away, but Hagens reportedly approached them again before fleeing when they took a picture of his license plate.
Patrol officers later found Hagens in his car near Bannister Circle and Kitchen Court. While no charges were initially filed, detectives continued to investigate and uncovered similar incidents involving Hagens and a sex offense with an adult woman.
Indictment and Arrest Warrant
On March 22, the case was presented to a Charles County Grand Jury, which voted to indict Hagens on the charges. An arrest warrant was issued, and deputies located Hagens in the Wakefield neighborhood. A search warrant was executed at his residence, leading to his arrest on March 26.
Judicial Proceedings
