The Arrest of a Three-Member Gang

A three-member gang was apprehended by the motorway police at the Samundri motorway rest area in Toba Tek Singh. The gang was allegedly involved in thefts from vehicles parked in the rest areas of M-3. The arrest was made by DSP Hameedullah Niazi, who spotted the suspects sitting in a car parked at the rest area. Upon questioning, the suspects tried to flee, but they were swiftly captured by the police. The individuals identified as Tayyab Raza, Muhammad Pervez, and Gulfam had fake number plates, duplicate keys, lock opening instruments, stolen currency, and mobile phones in their possession. They confessed to committing 18 thefts from parked vehicles at rest areas. Interestingly, one of the arrested suspects was a truck driver who specialized in opening locks. The Samundri police are currently investigating the case further.

FIA’s Crackdown on Illegal Activities

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Faisalabad, in collaboration with the health department’s drug inspector, made a significant arrest. A medicine businessman was apprehended for supplying prohibited medicines near GTS Chowk. The authorities recovered 11 types of prohibited medicines valued at over Rs4 million based on the suspect’s information. The investigation into the activities of the suspect, Muneebul Haq, is ongoing. Additionally, the FIA arrested individuals involved in illegal currency exchange and hawala hundi. One of the suspects, Qadeer Ahmad, was also found to be engaged in the production of fake travel documents. Fake visas of Portugal, Poland, and Ukraine were seized from him during the arrest.

Case Against Chemical Fertilizer Factory Owner

The Nishatabad police in Faisalabad registered a case against a chemical fertilizer factory owner from the Faisalabad Small Industrial Estate. The owner, Mazhar Mahmood, was accused of unsealing his warehouse and unlawfully selling fertilizer worth more than Rs6.8 million. The complaint was lodged by Agriculture Department Deputy Director Khalid Mahmood, who discovered fake fertilizer being produced at the factory during a raid. Samples of the fertilizer were tested at the Faisalabad Soil and Water Testing Research Laboratory, which deemed it unfit for crop use. Subsequently, the complainant sealed the warehouse, but the accused allegedly stole and sold fertilizer bags worth millions. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
