Three Individuals Arrested in Kenner Drug Busts After Traffic Stops

Kenner, Louisiana – In a series of events that unfolded on Tuesday, March 26, three individuals found themselves in hot water after routine traffic stops led to drug busts in Kenner. The Kenner police Department swiftly took action after officers pulled over a car in the 1500 block of Veterans Boulevard around midnight.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Oliver Adams, quickly caught the attention of authorities. Upon further investigation, Adams was allegedly found to be in possession of a substantial amount of illegal substances. The inventory included cocaine, 460 grams of marijuana packaged for distribution, a glass jar containing suspected hallucinogenics (mushrooms), digital scales, a gun, and a hefty sum of $3,700 in cash.
Adams now faces a slew of charges, ranging from traffic violations to drug and weapon offenses. The KPD is currently conducting a gun trace to determine the ownership and possible criminal history associated with the weapon seized from Adams.
Shortly after the first traffic stop, officers pulled over another vehicle in the 600 block of Williams Boulevard. The driver, identified as John Childers, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the New Orleans Police Department on a charge of second-degree rape.

The situation escalated when the passenger in Childers’ vehicle, 39-year-old Rachael Miller, was also allegedly found to be in possession of illegal substances. The inventory included marijuana, “crystal” meth, cocaine, mushrooms, and two firearms.
Both Childers and Miller now face charges related to traffic violations, possession with intent to sell illegal narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm in the presence of narcotics. Childers was additionally booked on the rape warrant and transferred back to New Orleans.
