Motorway police Arrest Three-Member Gang for Theft

In a recent operation, the motorway police apprehended a three-member gang at the Samundri motorway rest area. The gang was allegedly involved in thefts from vehicles parked in the rest areas of M-3. The arrest was made by DSP Hameedullah Niazi, who spotted the suspects sitting in a car parked at the rest area. When approached, the suspects attempted to flee, but the police managed to capture them.

The arrested individuals were identified as Tayyab Raza, Muhammad Pervez, and Gulfam. Upon searching their vehicle, the police found fake number plates, duplicate keys, lock opening instruments, stolen currency, and mobile phones. The gang confessed to committing 18 thefts from parked vehicles at rest areas. One of the suspects was revealed to be a truck driver with expertise in opening locks. The Samundri police are currently investigating the case further.

Federal Investigation Agency Busts Medicine Supply Racket

A Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team in Faisalabad, in collaboration with a health department’s drug inspector, apprehended a medicine businessman for supplying prohibited medicines near GTS Chowk. The authorities recovered 11 types of prohibited medicines valued at over Rs4 million based on the suspect’s disclosure. The FIA is conducting further investigations into the activities of the suspect, Muneebul Haq.

Additionally, the FIA arrested individuals named Wahab Rafiq, Ahsan Ali, and Qadeer Ahmad for their involvement in illegal currency exchange and hawala hundi. Qadeer Ahmad was also found to be engaged in the production of fake travel documents, with fake visas of Portugal, Poland, and Ukraine recovered from him.

Case Registered Against Chemical Fertilizer Factory Owner

The Nishatabad police in Faisalabad filed a case against a chemical fertilizer factory owner from the Faisalabad Small Industrial Estate. The owner was accused of unsealing his warehouse and unlawfully selling fertilizer worth more than Rs6.8 million. The complainant, Agriculture Department Deputy Director Khalid Mahmood, stated in the FIR that he had raided the factory of Mazhar Mahmood and discovered fake fertilizer being produced there. Samples of the fertilizer were sent to the principal of the Faisalabad Soil and Water Testing Research Laboratory, which deemed it unfit for crop use.
