Arrest Made in Connection with Brockton Shooting
In a recent development, a teenager has been taken into custody on a murder charge related to a fatal shooting that occurred in Brockton last year. The authorities have identified the suspect as Kahmari Price, 17, who was wanted in connection with the death of 33-year-old Mark A. Boyd on Feb. 26, 2023.

Arrest and Investigation
Price was apprehended on Monday morning at an address on West Boylston Street in Worcester by members of the MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section. The investigation, carried out by the State police Detective Unit for Plymouth County and the Brockton Police Department Detective Bureau, identified Price as the shooter. Subsequently, troopers obtained an arrest warrant in Brockton District Court.
Incident Details
On the day of the shooting, Brockton police responded to multiple reports of gunfire on North Main Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Boyd lying unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head. Despite medical intervention, Boyd succumbed to his injuries.
Wanted Fugitive
Following the incident, Price had been actively evading capture, leading to his inclusion on the department’s list of most wanted fugitives on Oct. 11, 2023. The authorities had been on the lookout for him ever since, culminating in his arrest on Monday.
Court Appearance
Price is scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon to face the murder charge brought against him. The legal proceedings will shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the shooting and hopefully bring closure to the victim’s family and loved ones.
