He was allegedly trying to force a 42-year-old woman, who was the victim in this case, to exit her car. Despite her refusal, Weigel persisted and reportedly threatened to hit her with the hammer. The victim, who hails from Winfield, revealed that Weigel had been following her around town until she finally stopped at the Rodeway Inn parking lot.

After demanding that the victim exit the car, she fled the scene. Weigel then allegedly slashed the victim’s driver-side tire and proceeded to steal her cell phone and wallet from the car. The total damage caused to the car was estimated at $200, while the missing items were valued at over $1,100, according to Feldman.

After providing a description of the vehicle, officers were able to track down Weigel and make an arrest without incident in the area of North College Avenue and West Elm Street.
