In a recent incident in Liberty Township, Bedford County, Mark Gordon, a 62-year-old resident of Saxton, found himself in hot water after allegedly causing a disturbance at the Tussey Mountain High School track and field practice area. According to state police at Bedford, Gordon was cited for disorderly conduct for reportedly shouting obscenities at children and the track and field coach on the afternoon of March 21.

The police were called to the scene at 4:45 p.m. after receiving reports of the disturbance. It was revealed that Gordon lives across the street from the practice location, and this was not the first time such an incident had occurred. State police at Huntingdon responded to a report of a disturbance at the American Legion post on Railroad Avenue just after midnight on March 24. Following an investigation, a 30-year-old woman from Wood was cited for disorderly conduct. The victim in this case was identified as a 46-year-old woman from Cassville.

In a separate incident in Liberty Township, Bedford County, DUI charges are pending against Shane Imoff, a 48-year-old man from Willow Street in Lancaster County. State police at Bedford revealed that lab results allegedly showed Imoff was over the legal limit while driving through the Saxton area during the early morning hours of March 9. Imoff was driving a 2018 Ford F250 Supercab truck when he was stopped by police at 2:24 a.m. along the 1400 block of Main Street. He was subsequently determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to UPMC Bedford for a blood test.
Driving Under the Influence Incident in Henderson Township
In Henderson Township, state police at Huntingdon conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Mazda 3 on William Penn Highway at Jacobs Crossing Road. The driver, a 45-year-old male from Mill Creek, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:18 a.m. on January 31.

Rollover Crash in Juniata County Results in Minor Injuries
A rollover crash on U.S. Highway 22/322 in Walker Township, Juniata County, left Huntingdon resident Heather Ledford with minor injuries. The incident occurred in the afternoon of March 26 when Ledford, 56, was driving a 2013 BMW X3. The vehicle veered off the road near the Locust Run Road overpass, struck an embankment, and landed on its passenger side. Ledford was taken to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital for treatment, and the vehicle sustained disabling damage. She was also cited for a traffic code violation.
Garbage Truck Overturns in Juniata County
In Milford Township, Juniata County, two men narrowly escaped injury when the garbage truck they were traveling in overturned. Waylan Bartley, a 24-year-old resident of Shirleysburg, was a passenger in the 2021 Freightliner garbage truck driven by Matthew Boyer, 40, of Lewistown. The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Varnes Road. Both men were wearing seat belts, and Boyer was cited for a traffic code violation.
