Jack was born on March 12, 1926, in California, Missouri, to parents Harold and Margaret Bowlin. He grew up in the small town and attended California High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. After graduating, Jack went on to serve his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a proud veteran, and his service to his country was a source of great pride for him throughout his life.

After returning from the war, Jack married his high school sweetheart, Mary, and they started a family together. They were married for over 60 years until Mary’s passing in 2010. Jack was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first and providing for them in every way he could.

In addition to his family, Jack was also a dedicated member of the community. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others in need. Whether it was fixing a neighbor’s car, mowing a friend’s lawn, or volunteering at the local food bank, Jack was always there to lend a hand. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion in Jack’s name. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
