In a shocking turn of events, Great Falls was rocked by a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals in Box Elder on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The Hill County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired in the parking lot of D&L Bar in the early hours of the morning, where they discovered two men who had been shot at the gas pumps.

The Victims
The victims have been identified as Darin Bernard Caplette, aged 41, and Thomas Roderick Yallup, aged 42, both residents of the Rocky Boy Reservation. The Suspects
Following the investigation, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting. Castillo Haffley, 18 years old, is facing a charge of deliberate homicide; Angelo Hawk Sanchez, also 18, is facing a charge of deliberate homicide by accountability; and a 16-year-old boy whose identity has not been released is facing a charge of deliberate homicide. These individuals are believed to be from Corning in northern California, highlighting the tragic impact of violence that transcends borders.
