The woman at the property reported that a man had allegedly assaulted her and may have been armed, prompting a swift police response.

During the search, officers discovered the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Anthony Wright, attempting to flee through a window in the garage. He then barricaded himself inside the garage, ignoring commands from law enforcement to surrender.

Despite repeated orders, Wright refused to cooperate with authorities, leading to the involvement of the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team. After an hour of standoff, the team successfully entered the garage and apprehended the suspect, who was found hiding inside a washing machine.
