Identity of Victim Revealed
In a tragic turn of events, the victim of Saturday’s fatal shooting in Redding has been identified as Tallonn Falcon Sanders, aged 31. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning at the intersection of East Cypress Avenue and Hartnell Avenue.

Suspect Apprehended
A witness to the incident alerted the authorities that a suspect had fled the scene in a late 90’s model full-size truck. The police were able to track down the vehicle in the vicinity of Hartnell Road and Argyle Road. The driver, identified as Joseph Zumwalt, aged 21 and hailing from Bandon, Oregon, attempted to evade the police but was eventually apprehended after his vehicle was disabled.

Further investigations revealed that Zumwalt was uninvolved in the shooting and had only recently met the victim. Despite his initial attempts to flee, Zumwalt was taken into custody and subsequently booked into the Shasta County Jail for felony evasion. The truck he was driving was determined to belong to the deceased victim.

In a shocking development, detectives uncovered a possible link between the shooting and an earlier assault on two juveniles at the RABA bus terminal in downtown Redding. It is believed that a group of teenagers or young adults from the Burney Area were involved in the assault, during which a firearm was brandished threateningly.

Following their investigations, the Redding police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection to the assault at the RABA bus terminal. The identity of the juvenile cannot be disclosed at this time, but the authorities are urging anyone with information on either incident to come forward.
