Nandakumara Kattimani, a 21-year-old youth, tragically lost his life in a senseless act of violence over a simple dispute about drinking water. He was a young man with his whole life ahead of him, full of dreams and aspirations. The Tragic Incident
The incident that led to Nandakumara’s untimely death occurred in Hunasagi town of Karnataka’s Yadgir district. It all started with a petty argument between the accused, Hanumantha and Hanumavva, and Nandakumara’s grandmother over access to drinking water. Nandakumara, being the brave and compassionate soul that he was, stepped in to defend his grandmother from the aggressive behaviour of the accused.
The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, with the accused ultimately resorting to violence by stabbing Nandakumara in the abdomen with a knife. The young man tragically succumbed to his injuries on the spot, leaving his family and community in shock and mourning. To make matters worse, Nandakumara’s mother also suffered injuries during the altercation, adding to the devastation of the situation.

In the wake of this horrific incident, the Hunasagi police have taken swift action by arresting the accused and launching a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Nandakumara’s death.
