Halley Kate, an influencer with a massive following of 1.1 million on TikTok, recounted her terrifying ordeal in a viral video that captured the immediate aftermath of the alleged assault. Another victim, Mikayla Toninato, shared a similar experience on TikTok, detailing how she was struck in the face by a man while she was texting on her phone. The victims’ accounts quickly gained traction on social media, sparking outrage and concern among the online community.

Suspect Identified and Apprehended

Following the attacks, a victim named Sarah Harvard appeared on NewsNation, claiming to have spotted a man matching the suspect’s description near Parsons’ School of Fashion in New York. Harvard also mentioned that another victim, Toninato, had identified the same individual as her attacker.

The NYPD swiftly responded to the situation, releasing a statement acknowledging the viral videos documenting the assaults. The police confirmed that a suspect, described as a repeat offender with a lengthy criminal record, had been taken into custody.

Arrest of Skiroky Stora

The authorities arrested and charged Skiroky Stora, 40, in connection with the assaults. Stora, who was walking a dog at the time of the incident, allegedly struck Kate in the head in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York.
