In a recent incident at a southeast Minnesota intersection, three individuals were rushed to the hospital following a collision between an SUV and a car on Thursday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol quickly responded to the scene of the two-vehicle crash, which occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 56 and Goodhue County Rd. 9, situated between Dennison and Hwy. 52.
According to the state crash report, the SUV, driven by 58-year-old Barbara Ann Medina-Tiller of Adams, was travelling east on County Rd. 9, while the car, driven by 43-year-old Mark Thomas McNamara of Kenyon, MN, was heading north on Hwy. 56. The vehicles collided in the intersection, resulting in injuries to both drivers and a passenger.
Medina-Tiller and her passenger, 21-year-old Madelline Marie Biwer of Baton Rouge, La, were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. McNamara was also transported to a hospital in Red Wing for further care. Fortunately, all three individuals were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, and alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office also arrived at the scene to assist with the aftermath of the crash, ensuring that all necessary measures were taken to secure the area and provide support to those involved.
