Bukit Aman police Believe Video of Man Making Derogatory Remarks Recorded Overseas
In a recent development, the Bukit Aman police department has revealed that they believe the video showing a man making derogatory remarks towards Islam, the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and the police force was recorded overseas. According to Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, this is not the first time Ganesparan has made offensive statements about the royal institution, religion, and politics. A total of 22 cases have been opened against him since 2018, with investigations revealing that he had left the country and not returned. In 2021, he was charged in absentia for insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Prime Minister.
