In a shocking turn of events, a homicide suspect in Grand Forks County allegedly fired on a law enforcement vehicle in Larimore, a town located approximately 30 miles west of Grand Forks. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Troy R. Larson, is said to have declined requests to surrender and made a suspicious motion towards his waist, prompting officers to open fire.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene at 502 W. Eighth St. in Larimore after a woman reported witnessing a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies and North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers discovered that Larson had shot a male and female at the residence, resulting in the death of 64-year-old Jamey Holweger.
