A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Bastrop County, Texas, as a 5-year-old boy, Ulises Rodriguez Montoya, tragically lost his life in a school bus crash. The fatal crash took place along State Highway 21 near the Travis/Bastrop County line, approximately 50 miles east of downtown Austin. The school bus, carrying 44 pre-kindergarten students from Tom Green Elementary School and 11 adults, was returning from a field trip to the Bastrop Zoo when the tragedy struck.

According to reports, the bus was struck by a cement truck that veered into its lane of traffic, resulting in the fatal collision. The driver of the cement truck has not faced any charges in connection with the incident.

Another victim of the crash was identified as 33-year-old Ryan Wallace from Bastrop, Texas. Contrary to initial reports, Wallace was driving a Hyundai at the time of the accident, not a Dodge Charger as previously stated. The loss of these two lives has left a deep impact on the community and the families involved.

In addition to the two tragic fatalities, a total of 51 people sustained injuries in the crash, although their current conditions remain unknown.
