Details of the Murder Incident
The incident in question took place in July 2016 when the body of a man was found in Som Bazar Gomti Garden. The deceased was identified as Bandhu Rai, a contractor from District Samastipur, Bihar who was working in Delhi at the time. It was revealed that Bandhu Rai had invited the accused, along with another individual named Mohd Aslam, to Delhi for labour work.
Tragic Turn of Events
On the fateful night of July 2-3, 2016, an argument broke out among the four men after consuming alcohol. This argument escalated into a plan to rob and kill Bandhu Rai for the money he had. While two of the accused restrained Bandhu Rai, the third individual, Mohammad Aslam, strangled him to death and stole money from his pocket before fleeing the scene.
Escape and Subsequent Investigation
Following the murder, all three accused persons managed to evade capture and disappeared. A post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was asphyxia due to manual strangulation. A murder case was registered at the Ranhola police station, but the suspects remained at large for years.
Arrest of Kabir Nat and Bablu Nat
On March 22 of this year, specific information was received by the police regarding the whereabouts of two of the accused individuals. A team was formed, and a trap was laid near Najafgarh Anaj Mandi, resulting in the arrest of Kabir Nat and Bablu Nat.
