According to the Peoria County Coroner’s Office, Morris suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest and likely passed away moments after. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. McGhee has been charged with First Degree Murder and has been taken to the Peoria County Jail.
Arrest of Josef Veil
In another shocking development, 61-year-old Josef Veil was identified as the suspect in the stabbing death of 58-year-old Tonya Fuller. The incident occurred on the same street, W. Fallen Oak Lane, in the area of the Lexington Hills Apartments, just before 1:45 A.M. on Sunday.
The coroner’s office reported that Fuller suffered multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma, leading to her untimely death during the stabbing. Veil was apprehended without incident in the area of Virginia and Isabell Avenues on Sunday morning just after 11:15 A.M. He has also been charged with First Degree Murder and is currently held at the Peoria County Jail.
