In Shikarpur, police received intelligence about a gang of outlaws waiting on a road near Golo Wah, prepared to commit a crime. When the police approached, the outlaws opened fire without warning. In the ensuing shootout, one dacoit was gunned down, while the other members of the gang managed to escape. A TT pistol was recovered from the scene, but the identity of the deceased dacoit remains unknown.

Arrests Made in Sukkur

In Sukkur, police conducted operations in various areas of the district, leading to the arrest of five criminals. These individuals sustained injuries during encounters with officials from A-Section, B-Section, C-Section, and Airport police stations. The arrested outlaws were found to be involved in a range of criminal activities, including robberies, motorcycle and car thefts.

Encounter in Hyderabad Results in Death of Bandit

Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, A-Section police engaged in an alleged encounter with a bandit in Latifabad Unit-7. The bandit, identified as Syed Sajid Ali Shah, was fatally shot during the exchange of fire. Shah was a member of an interprovincial gang of dacoits and had a history of armed robberies in Hyderabad. He was also implicated in an attempted house robbery on March 7, where he shot at a family member. Prior to Shah’s death, his accomplices Riaz alias Shah Jee, Tanvir Ahmed Gujjar, and Basit Shaikh had been arrested. Shah was linked to 25 criminal cases involving narcotics trade, dacoity, possession of illicit arms, theft, and encounters with police. An FIR was lodged against Shah and his gang under Sections 324, 353, and 34 PPC.
