The Tragic Crash in Baltimore County
On Saturday morning, a deadly two-vehicle crash occurred in Baltimore County, leaving one person dead and several others injured. Maryland State police are currently investigating the cause of the incident, which took place on the outer loop of I-695 near Wilkens Avenue.

Multiple Collisions Lead to Fatal Outcome
The chain of events began at around 8:05 a.m. when troopers were called to the scene of a crash on the left shoulder of the outer loop. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in that initial collision. However, as two tow truck operators were en route to assist in removing the vehicles involved, another crash occurred on the inner loop in the same area.
While investigating the second crash, authorities received a distressing call at approximately 8:30 a.m. A minivan had spun out of control and collided with one of the tow trucks on the scene. Tragically, the passenger of the minivan, identified as 60-year-old Sang Yoo Kang of Severn, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Loss of Life and Injuries
In addition to the fatality, both the driver of the minivan and the tow truck operator sustained injuries in the collision. They were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries has not been disclosed at this time.
The entire outer loop was partially closed for a period of 3 1/2 hours as authorities worked to investigate the crashes and clear the scene. The road was finally reopened just before noon, allowing traffic to resume its normal flow.
