Late Wednesday night, a disturbance call in the 200 block of Avery Street led to the arrest of 21-year-old Christopher Alexander Barron. The Hot Springs police Officer Austin Morphew responded to a call about a disorderly Black male causing a disturbance in the area.

Barron, who is on supervised probation, was allegedly found in possession of a stolen gun during the incident. He now faces felony charges of possession of a firearm by certain persons, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, and theft by receiving of a firearm, punishable by up to six years.

According to court records, Barron has a history of criminal offenses.
