Two separate homicide investigations in Mississauga and Caledon, along with a series of residential shootings in Brampton last November, have now been linked, according to police. Investigators are seeking assistance from the public in identifying those responsible for the crimes.

At a news conference held on Thursday afternoon, Peel Regional Police and Ontario Provincial Police provided an update on the joint investigation, known as Project Midnight. They revealed that five shootings in Peel Region, including two resulting in the deaths of three individuals, are connected.

While the police believe that all the shootings were targeted, the victims in the homicides were not the intended targets, as stated by Peel police on Thursday.

Three of the five shooting incidents occurred in Brampton over a one-week period before the homicides took place. On November 7, authorities responded to the area of Cottrelle Boulevard and Thorndale Road after two suspects discharged firearms outside a residence and fled in a black Dodge RAM 1500 pickup truck.

Another shooting occurred on November 11 at a home near Lorenville Drive and Elbern Markell Drive, where the suspects fled in a burgundy Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. The same residence was targeted again on November 14 when shots were fired at the home, and the suspect fled in a silver Mazda 3 hatchback.

No injuries were reported in any of these three shootings, according to police.

The following day, Peel police were summoned to Royal Windsor Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga for a fatal shooting at a business. Two unknown suspects approached the business and shot and killed an individual working there, later identified as 29-year-old Brampton resident Jagraj Singh.

**Innocent Victims in Caledon Homicide**

A shooting at a home on Mayfield Road in Caledon on November 20 resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left a third person with life-altering injuries. The victims, identified as 57-year-olds Jagtar Sidhu and Harbhajan Sidhu, were innocent and mistakenly targeted, according to OPP Det.-Insp. Brian McDermott.

Multiple suspects were involved in the Caledon shooting, with one last seen entering a stolen black pickup truck in Mississauga. The same truck was later found involved in a vehicle fire in Caledon.

Peel police are seeking information from anyone who was in the area of Mississauga Valley Boulevard and Arista Way at the time the pickup truck was stolen.

**Police Interaction with Caledon Homicide Victims**

Investigators revealed that Peel police had visited the home of the Caledon homicide victims days before their deaths. The visit was related to an unrelated, lawful investigative purpose, and it was in furtherance of the investigation into Mr. Singh’s death in Mississauga.

Police have released photos of suspects believed to be involved in the shootings and urge anyone with information to contact the dedicated tip line at 1-833-941-5570..
