Authorities revealed that a similar robbery had occurred at the same BJ’s store on March 16, during which the suspect reportedly wielded a knife while attempting to pilfer merchandise. Proctor was subsequently identified as the perpetrator in that particular crime as well.

In light of the evidence gathered, Proctor now faces charges of two counts of robbery (Class A), violation of conditions of release (Class E), and criminal mischief (Class D), as confirmed by law enforcement officials. He was promptly transported to the Androscoggin County Jail, where he remains in custody without bail due to existing bail conditions stemming from a prior felony theft case in Lewiston.

Jeremy Proctor’s Criminal History

Jeremy Proctor, the 38-year-old Lewiston man at the center of the recent robbery incidents at the Auburn BJ’s Wholesale Club, has a history of run-ins with the law. Prior to his most recent arrest, Proctor had been involved in a felony theft case in Lewiston, which led to the imposition of bail conditions.

Police reports indicate that Proctor’s involvement in the two robberies at the BJ’s store underscores a troubling pattern of criminal behaviour. His use of force and disregard for the law have raised concerns among law enforcement officials and the community at large.
