A Manchester man, Tommy L’Hussier, found himself in hot water after fleeing from police in Merrimack in a stolen car and then on foot. The 43-year-old faces a slew of charges including disobeying a police officer, resisting detention, operating after suspension subsequent offense, receiving stolen property, and possession of a controlled drug.

The dramatic incident unfolded around noon on Sunday when a Merrimack police officer attempted to stop a car for a motor vehicle violation. As the officer activated her blue lights and siren, the driver, later identified as L’Hussier, decided to make a run for it. He accelerated and tried to flee, prompting a pursuit by the police.
Abandoned Vehicle and Foot Pursuit
As the officer caught up with the vehicle in the vicinity of 2 Contra Way, a man matching the driver’s description was seen walking away from the area. The man, who turned out to be L’Hussier, fled into the nearby woods, leaving behind the stolen car with two different license plates on it.
