This investigation stems from the theft of multiple items and vehicles, including a motorhome, 1951 Ford Red Belly Tractor, 1979 Ford 6600 Tractor, 1984 Chevrolet pickup, and a 1962 Ferrari 250GTE, valued anywhere from $100,000 to upwards of $780,000. Some of these vehicles were stolen from buildings in the area.

As part of their ongoing investigation, deputies reached out to nationally known exotic car brokers within the United States for information. One dealer from New York confirmed that he had been contacted by two individuals from Graves County about selling the stolen Ferrari. The dealer then made a trip to Graves County, where he paid the sellers $130,000 for the vehicle. The Ferrari was later sold and delivered to another dealer in Texas. The two individuals responsible for selling the stolen car were identified as 33-year-old Teri Bush and 45-year-old Richard “Ricky” W. Cook, residing in the 300-block of KY Hwy 301 near the Clear Springs area of Graves County. Cook, a convicted felon, is currently wanted in connection with the investigation.

During a search of Bush and Cook’s home, deputies and detectives discovered forged paperwork from the sale of the stolen vehicle, as well as numerous loaded firearms, semi-automatic pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Bush was taken into custody and charged with various offences, including theft of property valued at more than $10,000 but less than $1 million, theft by deception over $10,000, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, third-degree burglary, second-degree forgery, first-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree criminal trespass. She has been transported to an out-of-county jail facility.

Active arrest warrants have been issued for Cook, charging him with similar offences to those filed against Bush. He may also face illegal firearm possession charges.
