Details of the Incident
According to reports from Rescue 1122, the driver of the van took evasive action to avoid colliding with municipality workers cleaning the road near the Saeen Di Khoi bus stop. In a bid to prevent an accident, the driver applied the brakes abruptly, causing the van to hit the road divider and overturn. The impact was devastating, resulting in the immediate deaths of a municipal committee official, the van driver, and a factory worker.
Victims and Injured
The deceased were identified as MC official Muhammad Saleem, van driver Saad Muhammad, and a young factory worker whose identity is yet to be confirmed. Alongside the tragic loss of life, 12 workers sustained serious injuries in the accident. Among the injured were individuals with names like Nadia Bibi, Ayesha Shoukat, Ayesha Shafaqat, and others. The injured were promptly transported to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Pattoki for urgent medical attention.
