Man from Thane Arrested for Allegedly Strangling Wife Over Suspected Infidelity
In a disturbing turn of events, a man from Maharashtra’s Thane district has been arrested for the alleged murder of his 27-year-old wife, Jyotsana Shelar. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Digambar Shelar, is accused of strangulating his wife to death over suspicions of infidelity before burying her body in a dilapidated house in Angaon village, Bhiwandi taluka.

Discovery of the Crime
The investigation into Jyotsana’s disappearance began when her relatives filed a missing person’s report at the Shivaji Nagar police station. The police received information that led them to detain Digambar Shelar, who eventually confessed to the heinous crime during interrogation. The authorities have registered a case against Digambar Shelar under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code.
