Local Residents Arrested in Online Sting Operation
In a recent development in Grovetown, Georgia, three local residents were arrested as part of an online sting operation aimed at catching sex predators. The arrests were made as a result of “Operation Sweet Tee,” a joint effort by the Grovetown police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Arrested Individuals
The three individuals arrested in the operation were Rubicel Castro-Cruz, 33, of Edgefield, Anthony Daquan Harley, 30, of Aiken, and James Charles Waller, 31, of Evans. Each of them was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of children and was subsequently committed to the Columbia County Detention Center.
Undercover Operation Details
During the operation, which took place from Thursday evening through early Sunday, undercover agents and investigators engaged with over 1,000 individuals online. Shockingly, 157 verified adults expressed a desire to meet for sexual activity, despite being informed that they were conversing with a child. Out of those individuals, 12 even stated their willingness to travel to meet the so-called child for sex and offered payment in exchange.
Continuing Investigation
The investigation is still ongoing, with additional charges expected to be filed. Multiple electronic devices and two vehicles were seized as part of the operation. Furthermore, an out-of-state registered sex offender was among those attempting to arrange a meeting for sex with the supposed child, leading to a warrant being issued for their arrest. Investigators are actively working to identify and apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the solicitation.
