Arrests in Operation Sweet Tee
In a recent operation targeting online child predators, the Grovetown police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force made significant strides. Three men, Rubicel Castro-Cruz, Anthony Daquan Harley, and James Charles Walker, were among those arrested during the investigation dubbed “Operation Sweet Tee.”

The Investigation
During the operation, which took place from Thursday, February 14th to Sunday, February 17th, undercover agents and investigators engaged with over 1000 individuals. Shockingly, 157 verified adults expressed a desire to meet for sexual activity despite being informed that they were communicating with a “child.”
Disturbing Details
Out of the 157 individuals, 12 even went as far as stating their willingness to travel to meet the “child” for sexual purposes, offering payment in exchange. Some of these individuals were identified as residing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, showcasing the widespread nature of online child exploitation.
Legal Ramifications
As a result of their involvement in the operation, Castro-Cruz, Harley, and Walker were each charged with one count of Sexual Exploitation of Children. They were subsequently committed to the Columbia County Detention Center, with law enforcement seizing multiple electronic devices and two vehicles as part of the investigation.
