Victims Identified as Student-Athletes at New England College
Two young women who tragically lost their lives in a murder-suicide incident in Miami, Florida, have been identified as student-athletes at New England College. Meghan Moore, 25, and Sidney Capolino, 23, were former students of the college, according to Miami-Dade police and school officials.

The Incident
The devastating incident unfolded on Saturday evening at an apartment building on West 40th Street where Moore and Capolino resided. Police responded to the scene after reports of gunshots and found Moore outside the apartment. As officers attempted to assist her, another gunshot was heard from inside the apartment, leading to the evacuation of the building. A SWAT team later discovered two more individuals, including Capolino and Luis Napoles, who had also been fatally shot.
Relationships and Background
Authorities revealed that Napoles, 40, was in a relationship with Moore, and Capolino was her roommate. The apparent shooter, Napoles, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Moore, originally from Centerville, Massachusetts, and Capolino, from Pawling, New York, were both members of the women’s ice hockey team at New England College.
