The incident occurred on Sunday night at around 10:10 p.m. on the 1200 block of North Taney Street, where police received a report of an individual with a firearm.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered a man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was lying in the street. The victim, later identified as Derrick Gant, 28, also known as Phat Geez, was quickly rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center but tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
