On the fateful morning of Tuesday, March 7, at approximately 11:35 a.m., officers rushed to the 3000 block of Clay Street in response to reports of a shooting. What they discovered was a horrifying scene – the lifeless bodies of two women, later identified as 52-year-old Juantonja Richmond and 51-year-old Ronisha Anderson, lying in the front yard of a residence, both victims of gunshot wounds.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency medical services, who arrived promptly on the scene, Richmond and Anderson could not be resuscitated. Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon pronounced them dead at 12:15 p.m., sending shockwaves through the tight-knit community.

The Violent Crimes Unit, known for their expertise in handling such cases, was immediately summoned to take the lead in the investigation. The police, with the invaluable support of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), embarked on an extensive probe to bring justice to the victims and their grieving families.

Following an exhaustive investigation, the police revealed that their neighbor, Solomon Adams, was responsible for the senseless act of violence. Adams had opened fire on the two innocent women, forever extinguishing their lives. However, in a shocking turn of events, two days later, Adams himself was found dead, rendering any arrests or prosecution impossible.
