BROWNSVILLE BOROUGH, Pennsylvania – A horrifying case of child abuse has come to light in Pennsylvania, as two parents have been arrested for allegedly beating and confining their 6-year-old child inside a dog crate. The shocking incident took place in a home located in the 1300 block of Sheridan Avenue in Brownsville Borough.
According to the Pennsylvania State police, troopers were called to the residence on Tuesday, February 6, after receiving a report of an unresponsive child. Upon arrival, investigators were confronted with a scene of utter filth, with the home covered in dog feces, urine, and trash.
Further investigation revealed that the 6-year-old child had been kept captive in a dog crate, with zip ties used to restrain the young victim. Disturbingly, it was also discovered that the child had been repeatedly beaten with a broom.
The suspects, identified as 37-year-old Jacob William Weight and 33-year-old Mimi Ann Frost, now face a slew of charges, including aggravated assault, corruption of minors, strangulation, simple assault, and endangering children. Authorities have also alleged that Weight and Frost committed additional crimes against the child.
