Identified: Suspect in Lakewood Church Shooting
Houston, UK – The suspect responsible for the tragic shooting at Lakewood Church in Houston has been identified as 36-year-old Genesse Ivonne Moreno, according to a search warrant obtained by Nexstar. The incident unfolded on Sunday afternoon when Moreno entered Pastor Joel Osteen’s megachurch armed with a long gun, resulting in the injury of one man and the death of a young boy she had brought along.

The search warrant reveals that Moreno was armed with an AR-15 and had made threats about a bomb. Law enforcement authorities discovered substances consistent with the manufacture of explosive devices in her possession, although the credibility of the threat is still under investigation.
One of the off-duty officers who responded to the incident has been identified as Agent Adrian Herrera from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC). TABC Chairman Kevin Lilly commended the swift response of the law enforcement agents on the scene, stating that their brave actions likely prevented a more significant tragedy from occurring. Agent Herrera, who has been with TABC for five years, has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation into the shooting.
