Ghana police Make More Arrests in Connection with Hotel CEO’s Murder
The Ghana Police Service has announced further arrests in relation to the shocking murder of Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Cosy Hill Hotel (Jirapa Dubai) in Jirapa, Upper West Region. Johnson’s lifeless body was discovered in one of the hotel rooms on Sunday, February 11, triggering an extensive investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
With the latest arrests, the total number of suspects in custody has now risen to seven. Among the individuals apprehended earlier were Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, Michael Klugey, and Kumbata Kwaku. These individuals are believed to have crucial information regarding the case, aiding the ongoing investigation.
In response to the heinous crime, Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, swiftly deployed a team of investigators to collaborate with the Upper West Regional Crime Scene Management Team. Their combined efforts are aimed at ensuring that those responsible for this brutal act are swiftly apprehended and brought before the law.
In a recent development, two additional suspects, Charles Tuoze and Favour Nuobe, who are both employees of the Cossy Hill Hotel, have been taken into custody. They are now actively assisting the police in their ongoing investigations, providing valuable insights into the circumstances surrounding Johnson’s murder.
The Ghana Police Service released a statement with the following update: “Last night, 11th February 2024, the Ghana Police Service arrested two additional suspects in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of Mr Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cossy Hill Hotel at Jirapa in the Upper West Region.” The statement confirmed that Charles Tuoze and Favour Nuobe, both workers at the Cossy Hill Hotel, are currently in police custody.
As the investigation progresses, the police have so far arrested and are questioning seven suspects in total. The Ghana Police Service remains committed to uncovering the truth behind this horrific crime and ensuring that justice is served.
