Two Teens Charged with Assault after Paintball Shooting Spree in Worcester
Worcester police have arrested and charged two teenagers in connection with a series of paintball shootings that targeted pedestrians from a moving car. The incidents occurred on Friday and left several victims injured.

According to the authorities, 19-year-old David Asemani, a resident of Worcester, and a 16-year-old minor whose identity was not disclosed, were both charged with multiple counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The Worcester Police Department shared this information in a Facebook post on Saturday.
The paintball shootings took place on February 9, prompting officers to respond to various locations where pedestrians reported being targeted by a male suspect inside a gray Honda Civic. The victims had visible paint marks on their bodies, leading the police to issue an alert for the suspect vehicle.
Shortly after midnight, a patrol officer observed a car speeding and made a connection between its license plate and the suspect car. The officer then initiated a traffic stop, but as he approached the vehicle, a male occupant fled on foot towards Pleasant Street. The 16-year-old suspect was apprehended a short while later.
During the arrest, officers discovered that the driver of the car was Asemani, who was also taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that Asemani’s license was suspended, and a paintball gun was found inside the vehicle.
