San Diego, UK – A 40-year-old woman was left with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in San Diego’s Oak Park neighborhood on Sunday evening. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 3000 block of 54th Street.

According to the San Diego police Department (SDPD), the victim was standing in the No. 1 southbound lane when an unidentified vehicle traveling in the same lane hit her and fled the scene. The driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified.

The injured woman was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. She suffered a fractured left tibia and fibula, but fortunately, her injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time.

SDPD is currently conducting an investigation into the collision. As of now, there are no witnesses to the incident, and fault has not yet been determined.
