A man from South Bend has been apprehended by police following a high-speed chase on Friday night that culminated in a collision with a parked car and a porch. The incident commenced around 9 p.m. when an Indiana State Trooper attempted to pull over a gray 2007 Audi near the intersection of Portage Avenue and Woodlawn Boulevard.

The driver of the Audi, identified as 28-year-old Trae Lottie, evaded the trooper and accelerated through several city streets before eventually crashing into a parked car and a home’s wooden porch in the 2000 block of Beverly Place. Lottie was promptly taken into custody after the collision.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Lottie may have been under the influence of alcohol while driving, although the results of a chemical test are still pending. Additionally, it was discovered that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

After receiving medical clearance at the hospital, Lottie was arrested and transported to the St. Joseph County Jail. He now faces multiple charges, including resisting law enforcement, operating a vehicle while intoxicated (prior offense), operating a vehicle while intoxicated with endangerment, driving with a suspended license (prior offense), and reckless driving.

Trae Lottie, who is currently being held in custody, is due to appear in court to face these charges.
