Missing 2-Year-Old Girl Found Safe and Suspect in Custody, Guam police Department Reports

In a recent update from the Guam Police Department (GPD), the previously reported missing 2-year-old girl, Lucialyn Aflleje, has been found alive. GPD spokesperson Officer Berlyn Savella confirmed that the person of interest in the alleged abduction case, Eugene Wayne Tudela Huffman, is now in custody. The news brings relief to the community and the family, as they feared for the safety of the young girl.
Officer Savella stated that further assessment is being conducted to ensure the well-being of Lucialyn. The investigation into the case is ongoing, as authorities work to gather more information and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Earlier, GPD sought the public’s assistance in locating Lucialyn and Huffman. The child was last seen on Sunday morning in Dededo, and there were concerns that she was in immediate danger. To aid in the search, GPD activated an Amber Alert, reserved for the most serious child-abduction cases, and urged the community to help find the missing girl.
Huffman, who was last seen leaving the area where Lucialyn was last spotted, has now been apprehended. He was identified as wearing black and white striped basketball shorts and no shirt. GPD emphasized the urgency of finding the child as soon as possible.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Lucialyn was taken from her residence following a physical altercation between Huffman and a female victim, who is the child’s mother. However, there is no relationship between Lucialyn and Huffman, according to GPD.
Described as approximately 3 feet tall, with curly hair, a dark complexion, and brown eyes, Lucialyn was last seen wearing a turquoise sheer tank top with a white shirt underneath. She was also wearing turquoise rubber shoes/Crocs with a pink strap and had purple painted finger and toenails. GPD provided a detailed description to aid in the search.
Throughout the investigation, GPD has activated the Domestic Assault Response Team and personnel from the Special Operations Division. An All-Points Bulletin has been issued to all precincts and law enforcement entities to ensure a coordinated effort in locating the missing child.
