Two Men Booked for Culpable Homicide After Injecting Drugs into Man, Resulting in His Death
Ludhiana: The Sidhwan Bet police have registered a case of culpable homicide against two men who allegedly injected drugs into a man from Salempur village, causing his death. The victim, identified as Hardeep Singh, was found dead on the banks of a canal in Sidhwan Bet. The accused individuals have been identified as Deepansu Singla from Sidhwan Bet and Dhanna Singh from Salempur Tibba.
According to the complainant, Gurdeep Singh, his brother Hardeep had been addicted to drugs for several years. On February 8, the accused, who were also drug addicts, took Hardeep with them. Later, village residents informed Gurdeep that Hardeep’s lifeless body was lying in the canal. Upon reaching the spot, Gurdeep discovered a syringe in Hardeep’s arm. He immediately filed a police complaint, leading to the registration of a case under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC.
In related news, the body of Deepak Yadav, also known as Malkha Yadav, a 30-year-old man who had been missing, was found floating in a canal at Barchara village in Purnia district. Deepak had left his house to meet his sister and never returned. The cause of his death is yet to be determined.
