Three Arrested in Delhi for Supplying Party Drugs: 64 Grams of Cocaine and 20 Pills of Ecstasy Recovered

New Delhi, February 11, 2024 – In a major breakthrough, the Delhi police special cell apprehended three individuals involved in the supply of party drugs. The accused, identified as David Narh from Ghana, Emmanual Owusu Nsiah also from Ghana, and Chimobi David Okpara from Nigeria, were found in possession of 64 grams of fine quality cocaine and 20 pills of ecstasy. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Special Cell, Amit Kaushik, announced the arrests on Sunday.

According to DCP Amit Kaushik, the Trans Yamuna Range of Special Cell received information about the movement of two individuals involved in drug supply. Acting swiftly, a team from the Special Cell laid a trap on SFS Flats road, Mayur Vihar phase-3 in Delhi, intercepting David Narh and Emmanual Owusu Nsiah, who were riding a scooty.

During a search, the police recovered 56.69 grams of cocaine and 20 pills of ecstasy from their possession. Following this, the police registered a criminal case against them and took them into custody. Based on their disclosure, the police apprehended Chimobi David Okpara, who was identified as the source of the recovered contraband. A search warrant was obtained for his flat in a Greater Noida Society, where an additional 7.12 grams of cocaine was found.

DCP Amit Kaushik stated that efforts are underway to identify the forward and backward chain of the drug syndicate. It is believed that the accused were supplying cocaine and ecstasy pills at parties.

Further investigation into the matter is ongoing, as the police work to gather more information about the activities of the accused and the extent of their involvement in the drug trade.

David Narh, born in Accra, Ghana in 1993, arrived in India in December 2023 due to poverty in his home country. He met Chimobi David Okpara in Africa, who engaged him in delivering narcotics in Delhi and nearby areas. Emmanual Owusu Nsiah, also born in Accra, Ghana in 1993, moved to India in mid-January 2024 for better earnings. He was directed by Chimobi David Okpara to deliver narcotics substances to his friend.

Chimobi David Okpara, a 27-year-old Nigerian, came to India in 2018. He initially stayed in Mumbai before moving to Delhi’s Dwarka and eventually settling in Casa Granda, Greater Noida. He has been involved in supplying narcotics drugs in the Delhi/NCR region.

The arrests of these individuals mark a significant development in the fight against drug trafficking in the city. The Delhi Police’s special cell remains committed to dismantling drug networks and ensuring a safer environment for the residents of the capital..
