Authorities in Worcester have made two arrests in connection with a string of paintball attacks that left pedestrians startled and alarmed. The incidents, which occurred on February 9, involved a gray Honda Civic from which an unidentified male unleashed a barrage of paintballs at unsuspecting individuals on the street.

Eyewitnesses recount the terrifying moment when they were targeted by the occupants of the vehicle, with traces of paint clearly visible on their clothing. Disturbed by these reports, law enforcement promptly issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert, providing the public with descriptions of the vehicle and its occupants.

In a fortunate turn of events, a vigilant Worcester police officer on After Hours patrol spotted the speeding Honda Civic on the following day at around 12:05 a.m., racing from Pleasant to Hudson Street. Wasting no time, the officer gave chase, confirming that the license plate matched that of the vehicle involved in the previous day’s incidents.

The officer successfully brought the vehicle to a stop on Townsend Street. However, upon coming to a halt, a male passenger attempted to flee on foot towards Pleasant Street. After a brief pursuit, the officer managed to apprehend the suspect, who was later identified as a 16-year-old minor.
