Pithampur Industrial Area police Solve Case of Decapitated Body Found in Neighbour’s Bathroom
In a remarkable breakthrough, the Pithampur Industrial Area Police in Madhya Pradesh have successfully solved a puzzling case involving a decapitated body discovered in a deserted bathroom. The police have arrested three individuals, including the deceased’s niece, in connection with the crime.
The grisly discovery was made on the evening of January 31, when a decapitated body was found in a deserted bathroom, making it difficult to identify the victim. The police determined that stray dogs had been feeding on the body, as the head and one shoulder were missing.
Despite the challenging circumstances, the police were able to gather crucial clues that eventually led them to solve the puzzle and bring justice to the deceased’s family. After more than 10 days of investigation, the police identified the body as that of Babulal, a 70-year-old resident of Timarni village in Harda district.
It was revealed that Babulal’s niece, Lalita, and her partner Imrat Goud were facing dire financial circumstances. Faced with the difficult situation, they made the desperate decision to dispose of Babulal’s body in their neighbor’s bathroom.

According to the police, the decapitated body was discovered in a deserted bathroom situated behind the house of a man named Nanuram Mandloi in Lodhi Mohalla. Initially, the authorities were unable to identify the deceased. However, after examining the clothing and other evidence, it was confirmed to be Babulal, who lived with Lalita and Imrat.
In November 2023, Imrat had rented a room from Rajendra Yadav for a monthly rent of Rs 1,200. Both Imrat and Lalita claimed to be a couple. Babulal also lived with them, and due to his illness, he rarely left the house. His monthly pension of Rs 16,000 was the only source of income for Imrat and Lalita.
On January 27, when the landlord, Rajendra Yadav, noticed that the rented room was locked, he assumed that the tenants had gone to their village. However, on January 31, a decapitated body was found in the abandoned bathroom behind Nanuram’s house. The post-mortem examination revealed that Babulal had died of natural causes.
The police have charged Rajendra Yadav for not informing the local police about the tenant and Imrat and Lalita Bai for not reporting Babulal’s death to the authorities. The three have been arrested and charged under sections 188 and 176 of the IPC.
In their statement, Lalita and Imrat explained that they did not have enough money for Babulal’s funeral expenses, which led them to resort to this shocking act. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the desperate measures some individuals may take when faced with financial hardship..
