Relatives have tragically identified the five members of the Le family who were killed in a devastating shooting and fire at their home on Lewis Avenue in East Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. The McLaughlin family, who are related to the victims, released a heartfelt statement expressing their grief and revealing the names and ages of the deceased.

The married couple, Britni McLaughlin-Le, 37 years old, and Xuong Le, 40 years old, were the parents of Natalya, 17 years old, Nakayla, 13 years old, and Xavier, 10 years old. The family statement described Britni and Xuong as devoted parents who had been happily married for 17 years. Their three children were accomplished in academics, the arts, and sports. The family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and requested privacy as they cope with their immense loss.
Authorities have confirmed that all bodies have been recovered from the home. Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer revealed that Canh Le, one of the recovered remains, is believed to be the shooter. Early in the investigation, Canh Le was identified as the suspect for shooting one of his nieces. The tragic incident unfolded when police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting involving an 11-year-old. Upon arrival, officers were met with gunfire and two were injured. They were quickly rescued and taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
The encounter with the shooter led to a fire in the home, hindering the firefighters’ ability to extinguish the flames. Black smoke billowed into the sky as the fire raged on, but once the area was deemed safe, the fire was brought under control. Both injured officers have since been released from the hospital.
The investigation into the motive for the shooting is ongoing. Canh Le’s mother, Chin Le, claimed that her son, who was recently divorced and unemployed, shot five people, including three children, before taking his own life. However, authorities have not yet confirmed this account and are still working to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
