A shooting incident took place on Friday afternoon in Minneapolis, resulting in the death of one man and serious injuries to another. The incident occurred during an attempted robbery, according to the police.

According to authorities, the incident unfolded when two men approached a Mercedes sedan in an alley in the 2400 block of Golden Valley Road. The vehicle was occupied by a driver and his 2-year-old toddler. Suddenly, gunshots were fired, prompting the sedan to flee the scene.
Law enforcement officers were immediately dispatched to the shooting location at around 3:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they found one of the two men lying in the alley with critical gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics to provide medical aid, the man, believed to be in his 20s, succumbed to his injuries. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office is expected to release his identity and cause of death in the coming days.
The driver of the Mercedes managed to reach North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, where he is currently being treated for potentially life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, the toddler was unharmed. Police are investigating whether shots were fired from inside the vehicle, as it sustained damage from gunfire.

Arrest Made
Meanwhile, the other man present at the shooting scene, identified as a 21-year-old, was taken into custody on probable cause. He has been booked into the Hennepin County jail and is facing charges of murder and aggravated robbery, according to records.
